Hello January 2009

Well, hello to everyone and welcome January 2009! Wow, the holidays went by way too fast. We had such a wonderful time with all of our loved ones under one roof. I could not have asked for anything more. I hope you all had an equally wonderful Christmas!!! That having been said, my first weekend of January got off to a busy start. I went out to California to visit Christie and Kevin and their new Kitten,Sid that was a Christmas present to her from us......

He is such a sweet little cat and Christie is having such a great time making him feel at home. While in California we made sure we hit up all of our favorite shopping site's. One of my very favorite places to visit, is Rogers Gardens. It is located in Newport Beach and I made sure I had my camera so I could share my visit with you....

So lets go on in.......

When you first enter Rogers Gardens, they have a cute cottage house that is decorated with wonderful gifts you can buy pertaining to the season or Holiday at that given time.....

There are lots and lots of goodies......

and O, so pretty.......

Here is one of the rooms, as you can see, with lots of cases filled with very special gifts.....

this case had all glass and crystal hearts.....

and here are my favorite cases!....they are filled with lovely items for all occasions.......Christmas, Easter,

Halloween and more Christmas.......

I promise!!!! She was already on the floor.......I guess it's time we go outside.......lol

during our visit it was misting, but by early afternoon the sun had come out....

for all my visitors that are covered with snow this time of year, I was hoping this little adventure could put some color in your day.....

A little close up.....

A living wreath. So pretty.......

Here is one of my favorites.....the ivy topiary.......I just love them.......

more color .....

I really liked him .....but my check book doesn't carry that many zeros........

Here they are again, there's just something about them that I love.......

Here is the white room......

Lots of herbs.......

window baskets ready to go......

And here's another one of my favorites....foxgloves....

Whenever I come to Rogers Gardens, I'm always reminded of the gardens at Disney Land.

This next picture is blurry, yet I still think it looks so pretty with all the color.....

Here they have Candles in all colors.....

Fun gift tags in every letter.....

A little area for gift wrapping...

Well that is all the photos I took for this visit....One of my goals for 2009 is to take photos of Rogers Gardens each season and share them all with you ....another one of my goals is to get my new items for my etsys shop finished and up and running....My items have to do with this little doll that was in a past post.... Claire-abella.......

she has some friends that are going to perform the Valentine's Ballet ..:) and once they are done I will list them in my Etsy shop for sell and all decked out in their cute Valentine Tutu's.....so, please check back soon and I hope you enjoyed your visit........:)

I loved this tour thru Rogers Garden. My favorite is the ornament kale/cabbage. and everything else in bloom and the ribbons and the nicnaks. Thanks for sharing. I've been to Newport Beach just once back in 1991, I think and we went to lunch at Rubys, the best hamburger I've ever had.
